I'm getting ready to go down to SC for BAM and really looking forward to it. I ran into a website on lj today about wool dreads and am sitting here wondering how hard it would be to make some kind of hat/headband with cool colored wool dreads.

So the pattern is in Norwegian and the colour is awful, but you get the point. These are very popular among kids around here, Garter stitch until it fits your head + a few extra rows, tie wool fringes to one side and felt.
