This article states that it took 190 fleeces to cover a Yoruk yurt in Turkey. Wow. That's really cool info. I read yesterday that when producing a handwoven yurt band for a Kazakh style yurt it could take between 1 and 3 years to complete weaving the band. That is dedication! but gives only a tantalizing hint with no documentation to back it up.
